I have been longing to get a certification in integrative health and medicine. It is a field that I am extremely passionate about, in part due to my own health issues. I want to help others live a healthy, abundant life.

Thank you for stopping and listening to my story.
I have been wanting to go back to school for a long time, but have not had the funds to do it. I did not realize my passion for holistic health and wellness until later in life, and I am hoping to make it into a coaching business to help others live healthy, abundant lives.
Having struggled with challenging health issues of my own, I have not been able to hold down a demanding and high-paying job for some time. BUT, these health issues have also allowed me to focus on my own inner journey and have increased my awareness of the needs of others who are dealing with mental, emotional, physical or social stressors and issues.
I am so thankful that I was able to complete a Yoga Teacher Training certification two years ago. Being able to complete the Duke Integrative Health Coaching program would help me build on this health and wellness training.
I decided on Duke after much research. Their program is a highly integrated holistic model based on physical, mental and emotional (and spiritual) health and wellness, while also providing specifics in each area. Theirs is one of the few programs that would allow me to sit for the Health & Wellness Certifying Examination required for health and wellness coaches to become National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches.
While this program is not the easiest, I believe I will gain the most knowledge and be able to help clients to the best of my ability as they work towards overcoming obstacles and limitations, and progressing towards their goals.
