As many of you know I’ve gone through a year of ups and downs and I’m glad to be on a solid foundation again. I always knew that once I was able to re-establish myself as a productive global citizen it wouldn’t take long for me to return to my usual pursuant self. My confidence in my ability to succeed and focus has returned and I’m wasting no time.
I am asking for modest donations to help me cover the down payment towards a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification program in the Czech Republic. The program runs from August 3rd through August 28th and will allow me to teach English in many countries around the world for years to come. The four week course takes place Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 5:30pm so while it does take place abroad, I am not asking for travel money.
I’m specifically interested in returning to the Republic of Georgia where I have visited three times previously. Georgia is a tiny state in the Caucuses bordered by Russia, Armenia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. It is necessary that I acquire this accreditation before the school season in Georgia begins. From there, all expenses will be paid by the Georgian Ministry of Education and include permanent placement in public schools.
I will be able to procure the rest of the funding on my own, however time is of the essence as the program is filling up. I was about to return to employment right before the COVID-19 pandemic and am still seeking employment currently. The rest of the program fees I will cover with my tax returns, stimulus check, and wages once I become employed. I greatly appreciate any help, financial or otherwise, towards this investment in my future.
I understand that it is a very difficult and awkward time to be asking for donations. I will provide proof of payment to this course!
