Help Mary - she lost her home in the Camp Wildfire

From Mary Jarschke

The Camp Wildfire has taken my sisters home, as well as the rental home she inherited from our Father. Because of the fire in 2008 the insurance company would not insure either property. She has lost everything.

Update #7

From Mary:
Every single thing I own is by the the generosity, thoughtfulness and grace of others. Every time I use a gift card, I feel very emotional and tear up, because it allows me to save precious dollars, much of it donated, for a home. It is so humbling to have so much given to us. Our gratitude is hard to express! I think the checkout girl at Target must think I’m crazy crying over laundry detergent and bleach....

More Info

As many of you know, Mary Jarschke and her partner Jerry Roseborough and her grandson, Ethan, have lost their home in the Camp Wildfire.  Our Dad's home, which she was renting out, has also burned. Because of the fire in 2008, the insurance companies would not insure either property.  With no warning, they got out with just their dogs, could not catch the cats, had to let the goats loose, and fled with only what they were wearing or could grab on the way out the door. We are so grateful for their safety.  However, they are starting over with nothing. Many people asked how they can help.  Here is one way.  This account was set up to allow you to donate if you would like to. Thank you for your love and support.

Update #5

From Mary:
At just about 7 am, 4 weeks ago we saw the fire coming and knew we had to leave... there has been some kind of time warp, it doesn’t seem like that much time has passed and yet everything has changed, our world went up in flames. I noticed that my most often used emoji is

Update #1

This is Mary's words of thanks:

"So many kind gestures and actions. Ethan’s English teacher has had them consider and write about modern day hero’s. This Nor Cal community and friends, family and strangers have been caring for so many in so many ways it is a little difficult to process it all. But to each of you in this amazing band of angels, you are hero’s! You have given us the gift of hope. You may not think that a colander of apples, or doing someone’s laundry or donating money, clothes, food, giving someone a safe place to sleep is such a big deal but you are healing us in ways you cannot even begin to imagine. You are “the helpers” Mr. Rogers told us to look for.❤️ And for all of the Firefighters, EMS, police, doctors, nurses, veterinarian and volunteers, “Thank You”, from my heart!"
