Update #3

Heather is doing well. We are waiting for her to be discharged from the hospital. While we were here they did more biopsies to get enough tissue for genetic testing. We should get the results when we return to see her oncologist on Wednesday. This was an unexpected turn of events so I didn't have a change of clothes for the last few days. They've also put Heather on certain dietary restrictions due to the potential for obstruction. Can't wait to get home. Please continue to pray for Heather.

More Info

Heather is a 48 year old mother of four and an elementary school teacher. She has been very involved in her community as well.  She volunteers as a leader with the local 4-H, and has a booth at the farmers market.  She also does regular crafting workshops.

After seeing the doctor for pain in her side and back, on Nov 3rd, 2020, she was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer that has metastasized throughout her liver. Treatment for this cancer at this stage is very expensive.  Heather and her family need all the help they can get to pay for treatment and all the other financial burdens that go with this disease. Please keep Heather, her husband, and their children in your prayers. We appreciate anything you can do.  With yours and God's help they are determined to beat this disease.

Update #2

It's been a long night. We have been in the ER since yesterday afternoon. Heather was in increased pain so we went to the ER and they found a blood clot in her liver. They will be checking her in to the hospital for a few days and putting her on anticoagulants to dissolve the clot. Heather is doing well and this is a common thing with cancer in the liver. As always keep her in your prayers.
