Help Flood Valley find a home to brew!

From Chris Rohr

Because of a lack of space in our taproom, brewing happens offsite. We partner with a licensed brewery to serve our own recipes, and would like to change that. We are raising funds for a production space of our own!

Hello, my name is Chris Rohr, and I live in my hometown of Chehalis, Washington. One day, one of my three brothers, Brett, told me we were going to brew some beer. We had a great time, and made tasty beer. I still enjoy brewing, and over the years, I wanted to do it more and more.

My passion grew, and I started Flood Valley Brewing in 2013 to share my enthusiasm and love of Craft Beer. Since starting out as a homebrew supply shop which offered brewing classes, and have few craft beers on tap, including my own, this business has grown to become a place to relax, have some great food, and enjoy entertainment.

Our house beers are approachable, and there is a strong demand for our product in the taproom. We’re so glad our guests love the quaffable house beers that we serve alongside Award-Winning breweries.

Because of a lack of space in our taprooms, our brewing happens offsite. I partnered with a licensed brewery to make it possible to serve my own recipes, and would like to change that. A production space will provide a central location for our brewing operations, and develop as a Brewer.

Partnerships with businesses such as Thousand Trails helps us increase our exposure and boost sales to achieve our goal of our very own Production Facility.

In 2022, we enrolled in a Startup Bootcamp program with the Clatsop County Small Business Development Center. The support from the program and Advisors there is a vital part of expanding our understanding of how to run a successful business.

We now have a solid business plan, startup budget, and have begun the process of evaluating sites for a production space and Taproom. I am aware that very little beer will be ready to sell for at least a few months, and our startup budget reflects this.

Community has always been a huge part of what makes Beer Culture so special. This is why we are reaching out to the community to help make this dream a reality.

Supporters will receive a Reward for their contribution level which includes special merchandise and rewards. Major and Business donors have the opportunity to be thanked on our website and on in-house sponsorship of events and merchandise, and a Special Brew day where we brew a recipe together! All supporters will receive the pleasure of knowing they helped a home brewer achieve the American Dream.

We are grateful for the amazing support from the beer community and the Pacific Northwest for all of the support that’s allowed us to ferment this idea that we feel is ready to taste.

Here’s to you - Cheers!
