"A World Of Our Own"

A Collaborative, Immersive Art Experience Produced By Dream Machine Design // Coming To Reno March 2021

Help Dream Machine Design make magic come to life! A World Of Our Own is a collaborative show bringing together artists from all walks of life, including renowned local Reno fine artists and previously unknown names from across the West coast. 

The goal of this show is to reengage curiosity about what is natural and beautiful, in a journey through a forest type setting from day to night. A heavy focus of the collaborative work is using repurposed materials. Any new art submitted for the show comes with a request for 50% of the contributing supplies to be used, repurposed, or "trash".  

Together, as we turn trash into treasure, and showcase beauty in a new light, our mission is to provide hope and perspective of a better world. 

In this unique, immersive, world we'll bring to life starting at the Potentialist in Reno, NV in March 2021, you'll see works like:

• Fine art portraits on thrifted canvases by @VeraPaints / Vera Alexander, with custom spray foam insulation frames by @MonsterMouthStudios / Holly Spahr
• False walls and fantastic creations made of paper mache and found natural materials by Lina Hammond
• Group Dream Machine installations like trash floral walls
• Experiential soundscapes by local Reno musical talents 
• AND MORE!

To make this experience COVID friendly, enduring, and experienceable beyond Reno, part of the exhibit goals are to virtually map the entire show - so anyone anywhere can explore "A World Of Our Own".

Since COVID has put many of the participating artists through considerable hardship through the last year, we're asking for community support to make this show possible. 

Our goal is to involve as many working artists and new artists in this show as possible, and no one is getting paid from this community project. 

Where The Money Is Going:

ALL donations will go to cover costs, including sponsoring supplies for artists. Proceeds from any art sold from the show will go directly to the artist, with 25% going back to Dream Machine to help fund show overhead expenses, and any remaining portion going to a local Reno nonprofit TBD.

Your donation allows us to:

• Get as many artists involved as possible by providing funding for materials. This allows us to create as much art for the show as we can fit in the venue by getting as many artists involved as possible without the financial burden of funding. It also gives these artists something critical during these unsure times - purpose - and something for all participants to look forward to in the year ahead.
• Pay for venue rental of the Potentialist. Our home for the first showing of "A World Of Our Own" in March 2021.
• Provide virtual mapping of the entire exhibit for an enduring "anywhere", COVID safe experience.
• Pay for other important expenses... like getting the word out about the show, and PPE / sanitizer / etc so we can make sure our visitors are safe.

• Donating Funds - A $25 donation gets you an invite to first come first serve Limited Experience Tickets. Since we are in uncertain times, these scheduled tours will guarantee guests to experience "A World Of Our Own" in limited, scheduled viewings. (More Info To Come Closer To Show)
• Spreading The Word - We know times are tough, and every dollar counts! Your share to social or with some friends or family via email can help us make this possible.
