Thank you to all of those who have donated to my Fundraiser to Help Pass The LSAT. I appreciate everyone who has donated and ask if you cannot or have donated already to share the fundraiser with others. I am 25% into my goal because of the wonderful donors that donated to campaign for me to study the LSAT. I have started to purchase, study materials and invest in tutoring to help me be successful at the LSAT. My goal has been the entire time since enrolling in Undergraduate Schooling and graduating to continue my studies to become an attorney to help those who badly need good representation. I have witnessed both family and friends get taken by the criminal justice system because they did not have the appropriate funds or because the attorney did not care about their freedom like we did. Nothing is too little to donate to help me pass the LSAT!!!! I am grateful to those who have donated and grateful to those who could not donate but shared this with family, friends, and advocates in the criminal justice field. I am scheduled to take the LSAT in February 2023 to give myself enough time to consult with both tutors and to take practice exams. I appreciate everyone's support in advance and thank you all for standing by me through the difficult times that started back October 2020 until December 2021. I look forward to announcing my results shortly after taking the test and hoping to help our people in the near future.

I hope this note finds you well. I am reaching out because I once again need support. It's not easy for me to ask, but friends have encouraged me to do so.

In February 2021, I was charged with misdemeanor crimes that resulted from me defending myself the year prior. I was facing charges while still supporting families through participatory defense. At the time I was saving money up that would help me with law school preparation courses that would’ve included tutoring, books, putting together applications and other packets to send to law schools. The money I saved unfortunately for law school preparation had to be used to afford my legal fees for my attorney. I was hurt that I had to use all the money I saved for legal representation, because I had done nothing wrong but was being prosecuted. You can read about my case, story, and the powerful participatory defense community support which lead to my victory in the Protect Your People paper. I am asking for support from my community, family members and friends to help me raise funds that went to my case costs but were intended for law school preparation courses. The funds would cover books, tutoring, consulting to help fill out my applications and other documents required for law school admission.

I know times are tough for many, and I wouldn't ask if I wasn't in need.

I am eternally grateful for all the support the participatory defense community showed me during my trial. I am now asking people to support me, if they can, toward my dream of becoming one of the few Black defense attorneys in the area. Either way, I know people have my back, and that means the world to me. Thank you, all.

Peace, Power and Solidarity,
