Update #3

Just to say my beloved Cooper lost his little fight last night after 11 days in the specialist hospital.I like to believe the love you are given in this life world is rightly yours to have in your next. And if that's the case he will always be held in the biggest, biggest hug. This has been one of the most painful journeys for us all (it's absolutely floored us) but as my Arch rightly said last night you can't keep concentrating on the bad in this world you have no choice but to concentrate on the good. People's kindness, understanding and support made such a huge difference in all of this. Love Nicole, Mark, Lauren and Archie. xxxx

More Info

Cooper is a very poorly puppy who has contracted distemper and he (and his mum and dad) need your help. We are raising money to help Nicole and Mark pay for Cooper's vets bills which are mounting up as little Cooper fights his fight against this terrible illness. Cooper is insured but the bills have exceeded the limit on the policy - contracting this severe illness at such a young age is incredibly unusual.

He is the very much loved and happy 4 month Cockerpoo puppy of our friends, Nicole, Mark, Lauren and Archie. He's their first dog and they thought long and hard before they bought him as they wanted to make sure they were ready for a puppy. They bought him from a reputable breeder who had Cooper fully vaccinated along with his brothers and sisters who are all in good health. Despite this, he has tragically developed the very rare condition of distemper. Nobody knows why. Cooper is fighting though! He’s been in the animal hospital for nearly a week though and his vets' bills are mounting up. Our friends don’t want to have to make the terrible decision about having to stop paying for his treatment.

We love our friends and we decided to set up this funding page to help them. We realise that times are not easy but can you spare anything to help Nicole and Mark and hopefully get Cooper home and well?

Update #3

We've reached our goal, thank you so much. Nicole has asked me to tell you that she and Mark are absolutely blown away by people's generosity and quite overwhelmed.

Little Cooper is getting better but he's still having the odd setback with the seizures. This is expected and he's still fighting! He's fought off the infection but he's still suffering the aftermath of the illness. They are all hoping he still comes home and when and if he does, there will still be a long road to travel. He'll be surrounded by a mountain of love though. Everyone has their fingers and toes crossed for the little guy.

These donations have helped so much on this rollercoaster ride. Thank you.

Update #1

Cooper has just come out of an operation today to put a feeding tube down as he is too tired to eat but he needs to keep his strength up. The op went well and he's now back out in the ward. The neurologist taking care of Cooper says he is still fighting and she thinks he deserves the chance to keep going xx
