From Olasunkanmi:
"The students in my community have varying reading challenges, the Lexplore software has been helping students improve their reading abilities and ultimately their academics.
However, unstable power supply and internet connection hinder any effort that could possibly be made to help students. Once a battery powered screen and internet connection are put in place, the Lexplore programme is set to go to even more schools.
The Lexplore programme will test students in my community starting with 500 students from 5 schools all together and the recommendation from Lexplore will guide special education teachers in these schools to help the students improve on their weaknesses during a 1-2 months training on reading skill and good reading habits, after which the students will be once again tested to track their progress."
From me: Our recent project in Northern Ghana resulted in over a 25% reading improvement in just 6 months. Let's do the same in Abuja!
