Hi, we are raising money to help rural children get to school and have clean drinking water once there! Keeping a kid in school reduce chance they will end up in factory jobs or worse, in the sex trade. Thank You.
Since the project’s creation in 2007, we’ve grown from one school with 287 students to fourteen schools with 9,400 students in grades ranging from primary to high school. In addition to building schools, community rice banks, providing clean drinking water systems, computer labs and offering school supplies, another way we’ve been able to help improve education is through the donation of bicycles. With schools located anywhere from 5km-13km from the homes of many rural children, bikes are often the only way for students to get to school. Offering bikes to students does more than just provide them with transportation, when families know their children have a bike to get to school, enrollment improves and dropout rates decrease. We’ve been providing bicycles to students for six years now. The first year, 2011, we offered only 12 bicycles. By 2017, we were able to provide 315 bikes for kids from eleven primary, middle and high schools. This school year ends in August and our goal for the upcoming year is to provide 350 bikes to our students from 14 schools. A bike is $45.
We have now 108 bikes, still we need 242 bicycles by the end of September, 2018.
We need your love and support. Please consider sponsoring 1, 3, 5 or more children by funding their bikes! Thank you so much for taking the time to consider the above. If interested, you can email:firstname.lastname@example.org
School Water Filtration Systems
As always we have chosen to place the water projects at schools, so children have direct access to healthy clean water after travelling on foot or bikes long distances to get to school.
Water is life! We now have 14 water projects up and running, directly serving over 9,400 students and several hundred teachers daily. In addition the students can take water home in containers to their families giving several thousand more children and parents access to safe drinking water.
We need your love and support to our fifteenth water project- Don Keo currently serves 518 students with 22 teachers. We have now raised $4410 for this school water. We still need $3520 more to get this water filtration system started. It feels fantastic to give any amount, both large or small are welcome.
Thank you so much for considering.
