This week Billy let us know that it's his time to cross the bridge. We love Billy, and his end of life care has been expensive. Help us make sure his human doesn't have to worry about vet bills in this difficult time.

Earlier this week, we noticed Billy lost his appetite and was having trouble breathing. After extensive tests and many hours at the vet, it became clear that it was time to say goodbye. Billy is 14 years old, and spent most of his life as an animal test subject at UC Davis. (hence the ear tattoos!) When the clinical study came to an end, Billy was abandoned and put up for adoption. Our housemate rescued him and brought him home. With the help of his human, Billy learned how to use stairs, snuggle on the couch, and scratch a scratching post for the first time. We are so grateful that Billy got to be a cat and experience love in his final years. Please help us make sure Billy's human doesn't have to worry about medical debt because of this loss- donations will go towards emergency vet bills, medications, and end of life care.
