Help a Mexican Immigrant Through College

Help a Mexican Immigrant Through College

From Misha Garza

I already completed 2 semesters and I'm doing my best to graduate early. Since I am not a US citizen I can't apply for student loans and my scholarship isn't enough.

Hey everyone!

I'm a queer person born and raised in Mexico. I spent my entire life dreaming of going to college in the U.S. I had the opportunity to go to college for a year now and take two summer classes (with the credits I came into college with, this is close to 3 semesters). As the deadline for tuition this semester approached I realized there would be no way I'd afford another semester.

My usual economic support system has failed and although I worked all summer, I was only making $1.50/hour. I'd really appreciate any help.

If I can help you guys in any way, please let me know. I'm not ready to give up on this part of my dream. I know I was made to help people but I can't do what I know I'm capable of if I don't complete college.

Please help in whatever way you can.
