My friend, Morganfield Burnett - a true blues man, needs help. He is a proud man who normally does not take to public attention about his personal situation.

Many folks around southern California know him or may have been fortunate enough to have caught a live performance. He is an incredibly intelligent, caring and deeply soulful man. He has had more than his share of ups and downs. He personifies a blues man through and through. He needs our help.

He lives in his van. It's an old, rusty van....hardly anything to call home, but he does. His spirits are always high and he lives to go to live music clubs to see, hear and absorb live music. He is especially fond of blues music. He is always a pleasant conversation and captivating story teller. He has lived a long, fascinating and compelling life....albeit a sometimes difficult one. He misses social interaction the same as we all do right now, but for him it serves as a life line. It is literally what keeps him going.

He is blessed with a great voice and is a fantastic harmonica player. Yet, his real gift lies in his songwriting and storytelling ability. He can write about and tell the stories because he has lived many of them. From heartbreak, financial woes and loss to joyous and uplifting songs. He is a true blues man!

He lives on a small fixed income and whatever money he can get doing gigs around Ventura and LA. He told me recently, "if I were to win the lottery, I wouldn't go buy a house, I'd just go buy a new van." I'm trying to help make his life just a little bit easier and comfortable and show him that many people really do care to help a stranger.

As this campaign rolls on, I will share some of the music we wrote together. At the end of this campaign, I will share photos of him and video of him receiving his new van.

These are truly trying times....but for some, times are 'always' trying. This is a chance to seriously impact a man's life. I want nothing more than to see the tears of joy streaming down his face at the thoughtfulness we can show. Please donate TODAY!
