Heartworms Again

Heartworms Again

From Sheree's Dog Rescue

This campaign is to gather funds to treat heartworm positive dogs again this year. We need your help to pay the treatments! It is expensive to treat and dangerous but they will not survive if we don't.

Update #4

Once again, we have 11 heartworm positive dogs to treat. Of course, it is expensive to treat so many at once, but all these dogs need to be rid of the heartworms as soon as possible in order to avoid more heart and lung damage.

You can sponsor the treatment of one or more of these babies:

MAYA LIN, German Shepherd female, high positive
TATTY TEDDY, Yorkshire Terrier male
JAMES TAYLOR, Schnoodle male
JESSICA BIEL, ShihPoo female
MAÊLYS, Yorkshire Terrier female, high positive
FLUFFY, Cockapoo male
FALKNER, LhasaPoo male
FAIRY BELL, Maltese/Terrier female
LOUIS X, Toy Poodle male
NICKELBACK, Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon mix male
DINAH, Labrador Retriever/Shar-Pei mix female, high positive senior

Especially for the ones who tested high positive, time is of essence!

More Info

Every year, we take in several heartworm positive dogs who need treatment.  Not treated, it is a definite death sentence.  It is so easily preventable, yet, still so many test positive each year.  We take these dogs that nobody will want to adopt due to their condition, and have them treated.  Once they are back to health, all of them find a forever home.

More HW positive dogs to treat

We found out today that Mimi, a sweet little Yorkie mix girl, tested positive for heartworms. We treated many this year and still have several more to treat. It has been almost an epidemic. Gibbons, Greta Garbo, Bette Midler, Mimi, Bradshaw and Shortcut need to be treated. It is expensive and difficult for the dog. These babies depend on us!
