Hello everyone! My name is Aleyah... My bestfriend in the entire world, actually my soul sister is getting married. Words cannot express how happy I am for her and her fiancé Kirk. These two have been through so much together, I’ve seen them grow and create such a strong bond. These two people deserve one of the best weddings, even though I know them both well enough that there could just be a ceremony in their living room and they’d be ecstatic just because their spending their lives together forever.
The reason I want this day to be perfect is because not only do they both deserve it.... Because I’ve seen Hannah go through so much hell. She was born with a kidney disease, hydronephrosis, and a neurogenic bladder. If you’re into the medical field at all you know that those things together are just awful. Since my friendship with Hannah began when
we were around 11 I’ve seen a lot of things happen with her health and done multiple hospital stays with her. By age 14 she went into kidney failure. At age 18 everyone had the constant fear that we were going to lose Hannah. But now things look more manageable besides the fact that Hannah suffers from chronic pain with her condition and has to get surgery every two months to get stints in her ureters exchanged, she is still getting by. Unfortunately in her condition there’s really no way for her to work. So she has social security to help pay for rent, bills, and food. Also Kirk works as well but it’s still a tight situation.
I want nothing more then to see my bestfriend have the dream wedding she deserves. Yes we did put $10,000 as the goal amount even though the wedding will not be $10,000. Whatever money is left will be going to The National Kidney Foundation. Please help us make Hannah and Kirk’s day a dream come true. We’re forever grateful for anyway you could help
MESSAGE FROM HANNAH AND KIRK
"Thank you to everyone who donates to our wedding fund. We could never pull this off without the help from family, friends, and those of you who don't know us personally but still feel this is for a good cause. We have always had a struggle with affording the things we need from day to day, it's nice to know there are people out there who want to help make this one day so special and perfect for us. We love and appreciate all of you and are excited to donate the extra money to a cause that means so much to us and many others dealing with the same medical diagnosis."
