FRIENDS OF APF HEALTH CLINICS (FAHC) is a small committee of international, interfaith volunteers, whose goal is to raise funds to help cover operating expenses and equipment for APF FONDWA MEDICAL CLINIC and APF MOBILE MEDICAL CLINICS. Last year 2,116 patients were seen at APF Fondwa Clinic. Mobile Clinics visited 6 rural locations. APF participated in one Medical Fair in Ansavo, where 200 participants received medical care.

For the year 2017–2018 APF hopes , with your assistance, to provide mobile medical services to 11 rural communities and conduct 3 Health Fairs in small towns.

Ninety percent (90%) of Haiti five hundred and seventy one (571) rural sections are without medical services. Child malnutrition, diabetes, hypertension and gastritis are endemic. There are cases of cholera, malaria, typhoid fever and also many injured in motorcycle accidents.

Fondwa, a rural Haitian community of about twelve-thousand-five hundred (12,500) inhabitants, between Leogane and Jacmel, lost its medical clinic in the 2010 earthquake, and was again hit by Hurricane Matthew in October 2016.

At the moment, medical services in the Fondwa Area are being provided by a resident doctor and a nurse in a converted container. Funds have already been raised to build a permanent clinic, and construction is underway.  Assistance is needed to continue efforts to deliver health care to this area.

Through the help of many friends, this year, six Rural Sections were able to receive visits from mobile clinic visits and one health Fair was held in Ansavo. Doctors and nurses travelled to seven localities  and stayed on site for two(2) day visits, where they administered medical care to the people in that area, often transporting, medicine, medical supplies and equipment with them.

FAHC is looking to raise funds to cover the costs of stipends for t he doctors, nurses and driver as well as medical supplies, medicines, medical uniforms, gasoline, lab equipment, food and lodging at the mobile clinic sites. In addition we are seeking to raise funds for the one time purchase of an X-Ray machine for the clinic as well as an ambulance, a 4 wheel drive vehicle,  mobile X-Ray machines, and one portable Delco generator to be used on site visits.

FAHC/HAFECE is a 501(c)3 public charity and all donations are tax exempt.
