Music is the universal language. It requires no translation. We all have it in us. I'm raising money to help amazing kids learn to play the guitar.

I'm a musician. Not just as a job, but as a vocation--a divine calling, rather. I love music. More than I can ever begin to explain to most people. Music has taught me advanced math, appreciation for craftsmanship, discipline, and individuality. It made me see myself as an artist. I could tell stories and show love. I've been lucky enough to have access to instruments; my grandmother's upright piano, a friend's borrowed guitar, the old Ludwig drumset in the back closet at Ss. Peter & Paul school. Before I knew it was my passion, I got to touch, play and possess these amazing things. I was incredibly lucky and it unequivocally changed my very life.
THE CHALLENGE
The problem is, even in private schools, music and art are taking a--often necessary--back seat during the budgeting process. Schools are forced to invest their money where it brings a financial return, and oftentimes, that's not in music. The only way that changes is if we act, together.
THE GOAL
My goal is simple. I want to collect as much money as we can AND as many stringed instruments as we can and, as a Christmas present from all of us, donate them to my grade school, the school of my own children; Ss. Peter & Paul, where I learned drama on stage, the discipline of school band and the euphoria of performance.
