Dear Friends of the Good Shepherd Community:
Our prayers go forth for divine protection for each of you during this critical period of virus outbreak. We trust that God will hold us in the palm of His hand as we look to Him, our mighty, unchanging Rock.
Good Shepherd was forced to cancel its annual fundraising banquet, originally planned for March 21, 2020. Since March 13, 2020, following New York State mandates, Good Shepherd has entered into a period of home instruction for all its students. The teachers continue to work, providing lesson plans and interactive teaching sessions and individual follow up with students. While the staff have adjusted well, some of our families have lost employment and have had to curtail tuition payments, making it increasingly difficult to pay our staff.
The banquet, with the resulting donations we receive, has been our most successful fundraiser over the last few years raising approximately $25,000. At this point our finances are suffering as we struggle to continue paying our staff and meeting our other financial obligations. Would you consider making a tax-deductible donation to us at this time, in lieu of the cancelled banquet, when it would prove so timely to us?!
If you have recently sent us a donation, we thank you for your generosity. We hold to the theme of this year’s banquet “Great is Thy Faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see. Great is Thy Faithfulness!”
