Good Ol’ Chuck

My uncle, Charles Haynes, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his home in Crows, VA this week. We, his family, are reeling not only emotionally but financially. He worked hard his entire life, but for smaller companies with no real benefits. He had no life insurance or savings.

He was well-known in our community. People knew him as Haynes or Chuck or Charlie. They went to school with him. They worked with him. They partied with him. And, when he lost his father (my grandfather, Carl Haynes) in 2015 and his mother (my grandmother, Mabel Haynes) in 2019, they cried with him.

Everyone who knew him liked him. He had a distinctive smile and an unforgettable laugh. Whatever he had, he was always willing to share, and if you needed help, he was the first to lend a hand.

His only child, Brett, is shouldering the huge responsibility of handling his father’s estate. This young man is a father, himself, and lives in another state. He has no personal transportation, so he’s been entirely dependent on telephone communication and multiple emails to handle his father’s final affairs. He’s done remarkably well handling things in this manner, but there are some things he needs to physically be here for, and that’s causing another financial burden and stress factor.

I started this campaign on his behalf to cover his father’s final expenses and the expenses he’ll incur laying his father to rest. Charles is going to be cremated and entombed next to his mother in Rosewood Cemetery because he was always by her side.

Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated and would help lift the heavy burden that’s laying on the hearts of our family.

Update #3

Hello, ladies and gentlemen!

After some site-wide technical difficulties, our campaign is back up and running. We’re sorry for any confusion, delay or inconvenience.

No donation is too big or too small, but keep in mind, Fundly takes 3% of every donation for hosting our page.

Thank you for your time and support!

Update #1

Sorry for the lack of photos, but the site seems to be a little glitchy lol

We’ve already reached 78 page views, but no donations, as of yet.

Every little bit helps!
