1- Can’t pick a major?

Popular belief is you should know which major to choose, before attending college. There’s no need to worry too much about that before entering your freshman year. There are things you can do if you don’t know what to study. During your freshman year, try to enroll to any major you consider interesting and attend classes with varying subjects. This way, you have the chance to think carefully about what you really want to pursue in the future.

2- Campus friendships.

If you think college is just about going to classes, you might be in for a surprise. A great benefit of attending college is being able to meet new and friendly people who have customs and beliefs different than your own. First ask someone who already took that specific course, which books to buy and where. This way, you’ll save a lot of money on unnecessary purchases. Also, don’t forget that everyone learns in a different way, so try to look for methods that fit your studying style.

5- Ask your advisor
