NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR ADDS UP AND HELPS US FEED AND PROVIDE CARE FOR THESE HOMELESS GOATS!

We are Goat Rescue of Sonoma County "where goats are pets, NOT dinner!" We are a non profit pet rescue located in Penngrove, California on 4.5 acres. We have already adopted out 100 pet goats to new, loving forever homes over the past two years. We hqave recently lost our home to foreclosure and have moved Goat Rescue of Sonoma county to Petaluma, California.

We adopt these pet goats to loving homes only and we do not split up families, siblings, or best friends (BFF's). Our adoption "fee" is 7 bales of alfalfa (1 day's feed for the entire herd). If we have a mother doe goat with young, we charge 7 bales of alfalfa for the mother and 4 bales each for the young goats as a package deal.

If you can afford to donate, the best way to do this is to phone a donation by credit card in to our supply accounts: Larsen's Feed and Pet Supply at 707-795-4106 or 707-527-7328.

We also have an account at Cotati Large Animal Hospital in Cotati, California at 707-795-4356. They too, can accept donations over the telephone by credit card. These donations go to our account for medicines and veterinary services to Drs. Wood and Dotti, two very, very outstanding large animal veterinarians.

We can process donations by check made payable to "Goat Rescue of Sonoma County" and sent to:

Goat Rescue of Sonoma County                                                                                                   P.O. Box 538                                                                                          Penngrove, CA 94951

We also have a Paypal account under the email address: kzamvil@cs.com

These days of economic hardship for many people are making surrendering of pet goats to our rescue more common than adoptions, so we have approximately 40 pet goats available for adoption. We believe that this is because people who own pet goats are giving up their pets in order to tighten their belt buckles and feed their own children first. Thus, we are receiving more surrendered pet goats than we are now adopting.

We charge our adoption "fee" in alfalfa because we do not want people to think that the donations go directly to us and to "secret overhead." We try to make 100% of our donations go directly to the goats or to gasoline for us to have to deliver or pick up goats.

These animals are sweet, loving, affectionate animals that are excellent pets and real characters. Each goat has a unique personality. None of our goats are aggressive or hostile to people and only argue among themselwes over food. They are very clean animals and each one knows its name and responds to it when you talk to them.

If you can afford to donate, the best way to do this is to phone a donation BY CREDIT CARD in to Larsen's Feed and Pet Supply at 707-795-4106 or 707-527-7328.

We are trying to raise an additional $4,000.00 to neuter our larger and older bucks (un-neutered males) so thst they can't make any babies and we can mix them with the other does and wethers. To neuter the larger bucks costs $350-400.00 each and is a traumatic operation requiring a day or two of hospitalization.

WE THANK YOU GREATLY FOR ANY CONSIDERATION THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE FOR US EVEN IF IT IS JUST PRAYERS AND GOOD THOUGHTS FOR OUR KIND PET GOATS LOOKING FOR GOOD, LOVING HOMES.
