We are raising money to repair and re-open our thrift store that burned last year. All proceeds from sales at our thrift store support the Dallas International Street Church's mission to serve the homeless for 25+ yrs.
Pastor Karen Dudley founder of the Dallas International Street Church has spent 25+ years with a single focus to provide the Dallas Homeless population with all the resources she can gather to improve lives. The church provides approximately 200 hot meals a day, offers clean clothing and a, hot shower, no-one is turned away. We also offer for both men and women, a residential faith based drug treatment program. Lifeskills, work opportunities and job training through various positions at the Thrift Store help homeless people regain self respect and esteem in the working world.
The thrift store provides an opportunity to both support the financial expenses associated with these services at the Church as well as providing valuable work experience in the course of the daily operations.
The thrift store burned last year and 10,000 square feet of donated goods for sale were lost including all the clothing racks furniture etc. Luckily the building is okay, however we are starting over and are in need of clothing racks., store shelving, and everything in-between to begin operations again.
