In May 2017, I joined a group of journalism students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on a reporting trip to Uganda. We reported on a variety of topics, from refugee camps ready to burst to a blooming film industry. These stories, and especially the people in them, changed each one of us more than we could have imagined.
Now we want to give back. Lincoln's Museum of African Modern Art has generously allowed us to hang our work in their halls February through May. During this time, we will be taking donations to send to the Ugandan non-profits featured in our stories. Through our reporting, we each saw that these organizations and the people they serve could use some help, and now is the time to give it.
