Each year a group of volunteers come together to give back to our community. As a group, we adopt a group of "at risk" students from a local Elementary School and have each child write a letter to Santa Claus asking for one gift.
Each volunteer donates $20 or more to purchase a gift as close to the item requested by the child as possible. These gifts are then given to the children by a volunteer Santa Claus at a Christmas/Holiday party hosted by the volunteers/donors.
This year we we will once again be adopting 150+ 1st Graders from Evergreen Elementary in Boyle Heights.
