For my 30th birthday, we are lifting up 3 incredible projects and splitting the funds raised three ways evenly. To help with relief in the aftermath of hurricane Fiona along with continuous community work!!
Hurricanes have never scared me, on the contrary, I am the daughter of Hugo (September 1989 biebis), in many moments of life even nicknames have given me a hurricane, a whirlwind.
Yes I am frightened and very, very anxious about the lack of support of this country's government institutions, the electrical system, and the repercussions that this has on hospitals, on people in precarious housing and health situations. I'm afraid of the "infrastructure" that bad government has sponsored, the collapse, the flooding, the lack of transportation."
GOALS: For my 30th birthday we are lifting up 3 incredible projects by attempting to raise $3000 and splitting the funds raised evenly in three ways!!!
PRIZES: If we raise more than $3000 the top dollar amount donor, the lowest dollar amount donor and the first donor will receive a plate of comida criolla hecho a mis manos.
El Hangar en Santurce : Hot food, mercados, workshops for community centering transfeminist and cuir(queer) leaderships.
Taller Salud : A more well known fund providing direct aid and raising awareness about the intersections of natural disasters and increased violence towards femmes.
HaserCambio : has established a fund that redistributes 100% of donations to various hyper local projects including La Colmena Cimarrona where Ana Elisa who is quoted does her organizing. Haser’s motto is “we believe in local change”.
With love and appreciation from the diaspora,
