FULLER STORY (from Francisco)
As I get ready for my broader work, there are several crucial tools that will help me the most. Firstly, I need to be certified in the Intercultural Development Inventory, a respected, clinical way to not only measure individual ability to perceive and respond to intercultural difference, but also how to get better at doing it. The training with Global Learning Partners does much the same, but applies it to intersectional group learning, another important aspect of my work.
As taking classes via Zoom or asynchronously is becoming more and more prevalent in higher education, another major need is training/certification in online teaching - it will help me in interviews. This also includes a year’s worth of private voice and piano lessons, so as to make me a better music worship leader and be more skilled when using music and performance in teaching and speaking.
Lastly, because pursuing life long dream goals are self-care, this fundraiser will also pay three-months of horse riding classes, horses being the one animal that fills me with wonder and love.
