Get Vorn into AMP Gold

History:  Vorn started his life in the province of Battambang, Cambodia. Constantly beaten by his stepfather, he ran away to Thailand at age 14 and worked as a laborer. This was a difficult job for a boy with no friends, skills or foreign language ability to rely on. Returning to Cambodia, he was placed into an orphanage and subsequently was transferred to Hope for the Silent Voices’ Hope House, by the government.

During high school, he studied from early morning to late night hoping to get into a university. Vorn has been far and away the most studious and conscientious child we have had in our care. Since before the pandemic he would use his free time to tutor the girls in Hope House. We have been graciously blessed to have this young man as one of our boys and sons. His work ethic is remarkable and the only thing missing from his future success is the opportunity to afford attending Oral Roberts University in person.

By succeeding in his scholastic and business endeavors he will be able to better help his mother and 2 sisters. His mother has worked in the sex industry and has been pressuring the older sister to support the family in a similar manner. Due to the pressure of living in this harmful environment, Vorn has used the small amount of money he has to relocate his mother and 2 sisters to the capital city of Phnom Penh to be near him. This provides Vorn a better opportunity to care for them and inject better influences into their lives from a closer proximity.  

In 2021 Vorn completed Ben’s 30 Day Create Your Future Self course at my encouragement. He took the time to digest it and eagerly soaked up the lessons. He would love to participate in AMP Gold and would be a tremendous participant.
