Georgia's Place Bird Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity organization that was founded in April of 2019 by Rehana Mohammed-Smith and Joseph Smith of Harvard, IL. Georgia's Place was named after George Pea, Rehana's house hen. Like a true queen, George stole the hearts of so many with her comic antics, loving coos, and heartwarming cuddles. George passed in 2018, but her legacy lives on at Georgia's Place.
So many chickens and turkeys suffer horrific fates at the hands of humans. We are here to rescue them and provide permanent care and safety for them. Please consider donating to help our cause.
