More Info

Did you know that epilepsy is the second most common chronic condition for children and adults? Over 7700 people in Vermont have been diagnosed with epilepsy and 1 in 26 people will get epilepsy. Yet, it is still greatly misunderstood, which has serious consequences - from people getting injured or dying because people are unaware of seizure first aid, stigmatized by people’s ignorance about it, short changed because the specific needs of children and adults with epilepsy are not being met, making it difficult for people with epilepsy to reach their potential and even live safe and productive lives.

We’re committed to helping support those with epilepsy and to educate everyone from families, schools, workplaces, and the public – but we can’t do it without you. Many of you know we relied on special events to make our budget, COVID threw us a monkey wrench, and we  need your support so we can continue. You have the power to help us impact the lives of people and families affected by epilepsy. Your gift right now will make a huge difference. We rely on private support to do this critical work, and to continue our mission of ensuring people with epilepsy in Vermont are safe and successful. Your contribution will ensure that education, awareness, advocacy, and critical support is available to every Vermonter living with epilepsy, from Barnet to Bennington, Fairfax to Fair Haven. 100% of your gift is used in Vermont to help provide information, supportive care to families living with epilepsy; educate our schools and communities through our seizure first aid training and information on how to keep people with epilepsy safe, and how to lower the risks of head trauma and seizures. Your generosity will help fight the stigma and create inclusiveness in our community. Your gift will make a difference.

P.S. We hope you will donate today and be one of our super heroes!  We do offer the opportunity for you to do your own event for us and are happy to send you our Make Your Own Fundraiser Kit.
