Gary’s nieces, nephews and grand nieces/nephews are looking to raise $8,500 to purchase a bench in honor of him through Central Park’s Adopt-A-Bench Program. The bench will reside on the perimeter of the Great Lawn where he spent so many years playing softball.
Gary was a great lover of New York City and he cherished Central Park. He made an annual donation to the park each year and spent countless afternoons walking its paths, studying its trees and marveling at it’s beauty. Gary often said that when he retired he wanted to work for the Central Park Conservancy as a volunteer.
