We want to support organizations that opened their doors when our government shut theirs during the shutdown by leveraging our game, Furloughed Friends.
We just received the printed copies of Furloughed Friends! For anyone who donated over $150 we will send your copy sometime this week.
The U.S. Government was shutdown for the longest period of time in the history of our country. 35 days, 2 missed paychecks and hundreds of thousands of federal employees and contractors lived with the uncertainty of their employment. During this time, we took advantage of the opportunity to be with friends and developed a board game as a creative outlet for the struggle our leaders faced in identifying a solution for the American people.
Our elected officials could not work across the aisle and find a way forward so we figured we would bring the problem to your living room by creating Furloughed Friends! The shutdown was an opportunity to see everyday Americans supporting one another. We saw how our country worked together when our leaders could not. We saw coffee shops, food drives and helping hands from all walks of life helping one another and bridging the divide that has now become part of the norm.
We will take the contributions of this campaign and will donate the amount to organizations that continue to support those in need throughout the D.C. Metro area. We will make sure to stay in-touch and will provide you with an update. Thanks again for your interest and supporting the American people!
