Dear Helper

Subject: Yearly Funding Request for School Staff, Equipment, and Free Meals Program for Underprivileged Children in Liberia (West Africa)

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to put forth a compelling funding request to support a worthy cause - providing education, meals, and support for underprivileged and low-income children in Liberia.

1. Project Overview:

Our organization is deeply committed to addressing the educational needs of underprivileged children in Liberiap. We aim to establish and maintain a school that provides free education, along with a comprehensive free meals program, to ensure the physical and mental well-being of every child we serve. The project seeks to bridge the educational gap and empower these children to break the cycle of poverty through quality education and nourishment.

2. Staff and Equipment:

To run the school effectively, we require funding to cover the salaries of qualified teachers, administrative staff, and support personnel. Investing in competent professionals will enable us to maintain a high standard of education and provide continuous support to the students. Additionally, we seek funding assistance to procure essential equipment such as desks, chairs, whiteboards, projectors, books, computers, and other educational resources to facilitate an engaging learning environment.

3. Free Meals Program:

Hunger and malnutrition remain significant barriers to education in Liberia. Recognizing this, we have designed a comprehensive free meals program. By providing three nutritious meals a day to every student attending the school, we aim to address the issue of food insecurity and ensure that the children receive the necessary sustenance for their growth and learning. This program will not only enhance their overall well-being but also increase their focus and academic performance.

4. Impact on the Community and Children:

Our initiative will have several profound and immediate impacts, including:

a. Education and Empowerment: By offering free education, we aim to empower underprivileged children and provide them with the necessary tools and knowledge for a brighter future. Providing access to education will enable them to break the cycle of poverty and contribute positively to society.

b. Improved Health and Nutrition: The free meals program will ensure that the students receive adequate nutrition, reducing their vulnerability to disease and improving overall health. This will lead to improved attendance, concentration, and academic performance.

c. Social Inclusion: By providing education and meals to underprivileged children, we actively promote social inclusion, ensuring that no child is left behind. This will foster a more equitable and inclusive society in Liberia.

5. Funding Request:

To successfully implement and sustain this vital project, we are requesting funding assistance of $430,000 yearly. This amount will cover the salaries of staff members, procurement of educational equipment, and the cost of implementing the free meals program and transportation. We firmly believe that this financial support will have a monumental impact on the lives of the underprivileged children we aim to serve.

6. Conclusion:

In conclusion, we humbly request your consideration and support for our funding request to aid the educational endeavors and free meals program for underprivileged and low-income children in Liberia. By investing in their education and nourishment, we can sow the seeds for a brighter future and uplift the entire community. We are open to providing any additional information or discussing the project in more detail if required.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children. We eagerly await your positive response and the opportunity to collaborate on this noble mission.

Yours sincerely,

Fundraising Team

Here is the proposed budget:

1. Tuition (Free for 250-300 students):

- Assuming an average tuition cost per student of $1,000 per year:

   Total: $250,000 - $300,000 per year

2. Meals (Free for 250-300 students):

- Assuming a breakfast, lunch, and snack program at $5 per meal per student per day:

   Total: $375,000 - $450,000 per year

3. Transportation (Free for 250-300 students):

- Assuming a bus transportation service at $1,000 per month per bus:

Total: $12,000 per year (for 1 bus, this might be  adjusted based on the number of buses required)

4. School Equipment and Supplies:

- Including textbooks, writing materials, science equipment, etc.

- Approximate cost per student per year: $200

   Total: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

5. Staff Salaries (76 staff with minimum salary of $300 per person per month for 10 months):

- Staff salary per month: $300 x 76 = $22,800

- Total salary for 10 months: $22,800 x 10 = $228,000 per year

Total Proposal Budget Range:

- Minimum Estimate: $915,000 per year ($250,000 + $375,000 + $12,000 + $50,000 + $228,000)

- Maximum Estimate: $1,038,000 per year ($300,000 + $450,000 + $12,000 + $60,000 + $228,000)

Please note that this is a rough estimate and actual costs may vary based on various factors such as location, infrastructure, and purchasing power.
