Hey everyone, My name is Janae Rockemore. I'm an aspiring lawyer, performing artist, advocate, and graduate of Temple University. I have the honor of serving as this year's Miss Black Pennsylvania.
I am thrilled to represent the Miss Black USA organization the largest scholarship pageant for women of color. Founded in 1987 this pageant has continued to empower black women to "use their voice and own their power and has provided over $500,000 in scholarships.
My platform is Raising Advocacy for Constructive Childhood Experiences as known as Raising A.C.E's. I intend to promote and fundraise for organizations promoting healing for our community amid the trauma of these times. I would love to take this platform nationwide which is where you may be able to help!
To compete in the national competition, I need to submit a $1,195 fee. This fee covers a full-page ad feature in the National Souvenir magazine, the operational cost of producing a national pageant, the production cost, venue rentals, ground transportation, most meals, the scholarship, and awards.
I would sincerely appreciate any donation that you can provide. No amount is too small. I will be sure to give this my all and my you all proud!
