Posing class #2!

It's amazing what a couple of weeks of practicing can do, I feel so much more confident with it!! There's a lot of work to be done, 7 weeks out, and a long way to go! Next month I will do some 1:1 to solidify the posing routine. Attending these group classes has already allowed me to create a network of support, I'm elated to be a part of my Coach Marks team! Mark has completed 22 times and has had hundreds of competitor clients that he's coached along their journey.

Thank you, friends and family, who have donated through fundly or venmo, it means the world to me that I have the support of a community instead of going through this on my own!!

This has been a huge leap for me, as the ultra-independent human that I am, the hardest part of adulthood has been learning the art of vulnerability and leaning on others. My own mother will attest to this, one thing that is consistent about me is that I will get it figured out. I'm guilty of earning entire diplomas, certificates, degrees, etc just to be able to figure anything out on my own.

My story

5 years ago, I was at rock bottom in life. I didn't believe that life was worth living, I forgot how to cope with life and how to take care of myself. Suffering from surgical injury, and diagnosed with extenuating chronic disease, I questioned everything about myself and shut off contact with others. I finally began a search for meaning. I read everything I could get my hands on, I delved deep into my being and pulled from it a light that continues to burn bright. I retrained my brain, conditioned my physical body, and ultimately changed my entire mindset. I asked the universe to grow and level up recently, and with this growth has come failures, surgeries, pain, and recovery.

Creating a future

I want to continue fighting every day like it will be my last while inspiring a love of learning in early childhood education settings. I am an early childhood Montessori educator which means that to continue to pursue bodybuilding, I need help. Coming from a broken home, poverty, and a rural upbringing, I have no one in the fitness industry. I will use campaign money to compete in as many bodybuilding competitions as possible, network within the fitness industry, make a name for myself, and ultimately one day start my own coaching business.

Update #1

1 month down, two more to go!

I'm updating through my fundly page, sorry for the redundant posts via facebook!

Competitions are specifically to reveal your muscularity, symmetry, and overall competency in your training and nutrition. In no way am I starving myself for the sake of looking thin. After competitions, you strategically go back to eating for muscle building instead of muscle preservation/ fat loss.
