APA was founded in October 2015 by Christina DiArcangelo.  Christina’s father, unfortunately, had recently lost his battle with Stage 4 liver, lung and stomach cancers on October 14, 2015.  Understandable distraught over the loss of her father, Christina realized a new-found purpose in her life.  She recognized during the management of her own father’s treatment plan that the countless other families she observed at the Oncologist’s office and or hospitals were simply not receiving all available treatments and or services that they deserved.  This was simply because they did not have the necessary support systems, knowledge and or skilled advocates in their corner to fight for their appropriate care.  This was and is simply not acceptable to Christina.  In light of her experience, Christina vowed to make an investment in changing people’s lives moving forward by starting this organization so that patients could focus solely on the most important aspect of their treatment – feeling better.  Accordingly, Affinity Patient Advocacy has commenced our first official organizational investment / patient investment campaign "Fund the Fight."  By Funding the Fight you or your organization  is choosing to invest in our #community and those #suffering from this horrible #disease.
