We give Veterans a place to plant their feet on solid ground after their time on the battlefield. We are building adaptive lodging so our program can host Veterans onsite, expanding our reach & benefit to our Vets.

Digging in the dirt may not heal the emotional wounds of war, but for many battle-scarred Veterans, farming sure as hell helps. Why farming? Because traditional therapies aren't the right solution for a lot of Vets. How do we know? Because our program is built by Veterans for Veterans. We are a community of peers who understand. We're creating a climate for Veterans to find purpose, build community, and have access to the support and resources they need to adapt and overcome what they experienced serving our country. Many of us Veterans went into the military because we wanted to contribute to something bigger than ourselves, and this a way to continue that. Farming is vital to the success of our country.

Our program goes beyond farming in helping our Vets grow and develop tools to cope with the scars of battle. Incorporating equine therapy, CAM techniques, physical fitness, mentorship and so much more. We noticed that while we'd all found different paths, the core concepts of how we got our feet back on solid ground were the same. Thus in designing our program, our goal was to offer a width breadth of services that shared in their core concepts. While yoga and meditation have terrific benefits for PTSD, so do the horses. One Vet may find they connect more with yoga, and another the horses. Every part of our program brings a unique benefit, and there is something here for every Veteran.

After leasing a farm since our start, in 2021 we were able to secure our own farm. This has afforded us an incredible opportunity to grow our program and how many Veterans we can serve. We are asking for your help to expand our reach and benefits even further. We need to raise $250,000 to build specialized lodging for our Vets. This lodging would:

  • Allow more Veterans from across the US to attend the program. An additional 100 Veterans would be able to attend our program every year.
  • Allow Disabled Veterans with more significant physical limitations to attend the program independently. Our lodging won't just be "ADA compliant" it will be built with the needs of Veterans whose service took a larger toll on their bodies. The focus will be on designing a space that allows for true independence for our Vets from those in wheelchairs to those with TBIs.
  • Build a stronger community with all of our Veterans staying on site. All of our Vets will be able to wake up on the farm, strengthening the benefits the program has to offer.
  • Save on costs. Having all of our Vets on site won't just be better for the ones staying with us, but the ones who will stay with us. Without the burden of putting some of our Vets up offsite, we will have more to reinvest into our program and our Vets. Just how much? Over $50,000 annually.

Veterans shouldn't live their lives still feeling stuck by the turmoil of the the battlefield. They deserve the chance to plant their feet on solid ground when they come home. In supporting our program, you are creating an opportunity for Veterans to find their solace. Thank you so much for your support of our program and the American heroes we serve.
