Speaks for itself. :)

More Info

These children were removed from traumatic circumstances and had to be flown in with almost no clothes, toys or any supplies. They couldn't go to a more loving home temporarily but Lauren is a single woman who has to start at square one. She needs to set up her home, navigate the legal and medical system, get these kids set up in school and day care. The kids need basic comforts to heal and settle in. Any donation will help to our treasured friend and colleague.

Update #4

Hello everyone. A quick update to all of you who have so generously supported Lauren and the kids through this tough transition. We're past the immediate urgency of having to get supplies and set up a household. The kids love their room, toys, books, art supplies. Gideon doesn't go a day without playing on the back patio with his water table. Eugene sleeps with Izzy nightly. I think that dog has become a guardian angel to both kids. Lauren is a wonder. She has so selflessly put everything aside to provide a space where healing can begin. I am in awe of her. Today is the first day both kids are in school allowing Lauren to return to her work and the three of them to truly establish a routine. We've made it past the first hurdle. What remains is some of the toughest stuff. Both Izzy and Gideon need medical and dental care not to mention, therapeutic support for trauma. Those appointments have begun and the bills are daunting. If you know of people who may be able to lend more support, please share this with them.

Lauren wishes me to express her true gratitude for your help and support in this. If she could, she'd write a personal thank you to each of you. I know you understand... Your generosity has a made a powerful
impact in all their lives. Thank you, thank you.

Update #2

Hello everyone! Wow. We're almost at $3000.00. Your support has helped so much already. Saturday a team of us were at Lauren's baby proofing her house, setting up furniture, etc. Just getting ready for the kids to arrive Sunday. They had their first night with Lauren last night and as you can see, they feel right at home. Eugene the Great Dane couldn't be happier and Izzy has already bonded with him. The giant dog slept with her! Took up most of the bed. She didn't mind. They need routine and stability from here and our efforts to support Lauren have made a huge impact in that regard. There is still a long road ahead. Doctor and dentist visits, school and the legal system. Both kids need a lot more clothes, particularly winter clothes. Please help us keep the momentum going and continue to spread the word about this campaign.

Thanks to everyone who's donated! I will Lauren shortly to help organize the clothes and toys you've given as well. I'll be sure to log her in here to see the amazing messages of encouragement you've sent as well. I love our village!
