At 2 a.m. last night, my family got word that our big brother lost his battle with depression. He fought for 33 years, and the pain we feel in losing him is nothing compared to the pain and hopelessness he felt each day.
To honor our brother’s life, we are raising money to donate in his name. We are splitting the donations evenly between the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a national organization, and the Mental Health Services of Denver, an organization that helped save our other brother’s life.
If you would like to donate, it would mean the world to us.
If you were fortunate enough to know Andy in his life, we are so sorry for your loss. If you weren’t, we hope with all our hearts you never have to lose someone to mental illness. Raising money for awareness and suicide prevention is a good place to start.
Can’t donate? Please share. Even a quick share on Facebook can help.
The average share raises $97.
