Feeding the Front Line

From Deleted User

The idea is to keep local businesses thriving while feeding the front-line workers that are providing for our community (e.g. hospital employees, urgent care workers, EMT's, etc.).

The idea to feed the front-line was inspired by reading active posts currently going on with the COVID-19 emergency. The concept is simple, keep local businesses thriving while feeding the front-line workers that are providing for our community (e.g. hospital employees, urgent care workers, EMT's, etc.).

Each day we’ll take as many donations as possible to buy breakfast, lunch, or dinner from one of the local restaurants in the area and use that food to feed our front-line workers. We would love to take this responsibility on ourselves, we're just not financially able… so any help is good help.

In order to keep the contributors comfortable in where their money is going and that it’s being spent appropriately, a complete listing of all transactions will be available through a publicly made spreadsheet on Google Sheets.  In addition, a public listing of all donations made, excluding the names of those who donated, will be available to compare amounts.

All the time invested by those who help, either by retrieving or delivering food, will be based on a volunteer service; no monetary compensation will be offered.

Update #1

We're on our way! With our first donation made and momentum behind us, we're aligning our resources and getting a plan together.

We're creating a list of those who need and a list of those who have. We're getting an idea of the amount of look-ahead a restaurant will need, and the price point they're trying to hit for each individual meal.

Tight-knit, that's how it works.
