Update #11

Since our last update we've made trips back to Upenn and CHOP on top of making our first stops to Nazareth, Wills Eye and Magee Rehab.

There are so many different covid units to reach and we love to see that our efforts are continuing so that we can donate to each one. We especially love to see Rehabilitation facilities hop on our radar as it's a sign of hope!

Since the start of this pandemic we've raised $20,857 which means we have the funds needed to produce about 2,085 meals. To date we have fed 1,985 which means there's just enough for 100 more meals.

Please share our campaign and send a little love to our social media pages @milestable so that we can keep pushing!

More Info

As a small business we here at Miles Table rely heavily on our community and we want to give back.  We have no masks, no medical equipment and no excess funds but we do have heart.

We stand with the front line but we can't stand alone.

We have been forced to close our catering operations and the doors to our second restaurant have shuttered.  Miles Table on South Street is still going strong and we aim to transform our catering facilities into a Feed the Front Line kitchen.

Our team is coordinating the production and delivery of breakfast, lunch and/or dinner to the healthcare heroes who are risking their lives to save ours.

Every $10 donated will feed one healthcare hero and we will aim to alternate between all of the critical care units in Center City.

Do you know a healthcare hero fighting in the frontline?

Email your medical team recommendations to info@milestable.com and follow @milestable on facebook and instagram to see your donations in action!

Update #11

We're only $408 away from our $20,000 goal but we're not stopping there. Since our stay at home order has been extended we're extending our campaign and we're going to keep pushing for as long as we can. Can you help us hit our new goal of $25k so that we can continue to spread love to the frontline?

Without your support and donations we wouldn't be able to stay afloat and like many other small business we would be forced to shut down all operations. We can express our gratitude enough as your donations have given us work and we have fed so many frontliners.

Thank you to all who have donated and special thanks those who have partnered up with us to boost our efforts. Tesoro design has sponsored multiple deliveries and The Baker's Jar donated delicious cookies to send to the frontline this week. Thanks to them the staff at Jefferson and Jeanes hospital got a meal complete with dessert! We've also partnered with World Central Kitchens to feed those in our community with food insecurities.

Stay tuned for more updates and share share share!

Update #8

It's about time for an update!

Fear, uncertainty, confusion... that's what we felt back in March when this whole ordeal began.  Hope, support, love...that's what we feel now as the donations and well wishes come pouring in.

To date we have raised over $17k, delivered to over 35 units and fed more than 1,500 frontliners.  We began our campaign to find some purpose during these tough times and to spread some type of joy to those at the forefront of this pandemic.

Not only have we been able to keep busy but each day we're shocked to receive numerous messages of love and appreciation.  We shouldn't be shocked because our family, friends and customers are the best but it's truly unbelievable.  Brianna, an Einstein nurse sent us the following message and we experienced all the feels.

"Hi! I am a nurse at Einstein Philly, ER. Just wanted to reach out and say we are so thankful for the food you sent today. It gets us through the tough days. Thank you so much"

To Breanna and the rest of our community standing on the frontlines, we couldn't do this without the support of our donors.  To our donors, we can't thank you enough.

Please help us continue our efforts by spreading the word and stay tuned to hear more about what we've been up to.

Update #6

Why donate to one unit in a day when you can donate to six?

That's exactly what we did last week to feed our frontline and we owe it all to our amazing donors.

On Thursday, we got to cooking and loaded the van. Our first set of lunch deliveries brought us to Pennsylvania Hospital, Society Hill Anesthesia and Methodist Hospital. These three drop offs were community recommendations, so keep em' coming!

After the lunch rush we went back to home field and loaded the van for round 2. We're spreading the love to the night shift so we prepped our mushroom pasta, eggplant rollatini and southern fried chicken sandwiches to keep them going through the night.

Stop 1 of the evening brought us back to Pennsylvania Hospital with dinner in hand for the coivd-19 unit. Then we headed to Jefferson's ER and rounded out the day delivering to CHOP's oncology unit but we can't stop there!

Spread the word about the Miles Table's "Feeding Philly's Frontline" and help us push it forward.

Update #5

Today's update is brought to you by overwhelming love and support.  WE'VE HIT 50% OF OUR GOAL and we have our donors to thank.

Our most recent deliveries took us through the city and over the bridge to Cooper University hospital.  Our dear friend is battling a fight of his own with COVID-19 so we wanted to send something special to his team of heroes.  Hang in there Brett!

After delivery 1 we headed to the Hospital of the University of Penn for not one, not two, but three deliveries!  Thanks to your donations we were able to feed the Emergency department, Rhoads Covid Unit and Rhoads Neuro ICU.

The trips didn't stop there!  We ventured back to Pennsylvania Hospital to spread the love to 2 of their units!  Let's just say the inpatient pharmacy and covid teams ate well.

Please continue to share the love and the word about Feeding Philly's Frontline so that we can show them that we have their back.

Update #4

They did it for the gram!

We started "Feeding the Frontline" to put a smile on their face and they managed to put a smile on ours.

Our 3rd day took us to the OG Swab squad over at Jefferson. They’re getting it done over in the testing tents but even super heroes need to take a break... even if it's for a miles table southern fried chicken sandwich and a dance.

Pop over to their instagram @tjuh_pool to see their video worthy of an award and don't forget to follow @milestable!

Update #3

Update, update, get your update!

The donations are pouring in and we’re driving out. On day 2 we headed out of South Philly and into University City to drop off a filling spread to HUP’s OB team. From sandwiches, wraps, green salad, fruit salad, and pasta salad they got the lot! Thanks to our follower @thelonebruncher for the team recommendation and special thanks for standing on the frontline.

After drop 1 we headed to America's first hospital to feed the heroes in the surgical ICU. Times are tough in the unit but thanks to our donors they enjoyed a break and a fulfilling meal.

Continue to spread the love and the word about “Feeding Philly’s Frontline”

Update #2

Update day: Feeding Philly’s Frontline!

Thanks to our amazing donors, the kitchen came back to life Wednesday and by Thursday we were loading up deliveries.

Our first stop had us whipping up breakfast for the frontline at Presby and stop 2 took us to visit Super Jack and his team of superheroes.

Jack’s showing Leukemia who’s boss and the Miles Table teams got his back. Special thanks to Katie & Brad Baer for sponsoring this lunch. Keep it up Super Jack. Stay tuned for more deliveries to this unit so we can share the love to the night shift.

We rounded out the day with a Jefferson drop off thanks to sponsor Tesoro Leather. Can’t thank our Frontline more and we’re overwhelmed by the support of our community.

More updates to come.... let’s keep it going!
