Fear of Losing House and Repossession

Fear of Losing House and Repossession

From Christina Park

I am trying to catch up on bills and keep my car from being repossessed and my home from going into foreclosure. The last year has not been good to me, and I don't know what else to do.

Here is the story in a nutshell. I started my own company a few years ago and was off to a really great start. I ended up making the mistake of giving my in-laws a chance to work for me, and to say they screwed me over would be an understatement. They offended numerous clients and lost my company $30K. I fired them for the sake of her company, but as I've tried to repair the damage they've done for over a year. I have reduced my salary to make sure my team is paid properly. There have been months where I haven't paid myself so that my team will be paid. I have had to juggle what bills I can and can't pay while my husband works odd jobs whenever he can to try and catch up. Today I got a call from her auto finance company saying if I don't pay the TOTAL amount, they will move forward with repossession.

Over the last year (after firing my in-laws) me and my children have been cut off by our family and harassed because I had to fire them. My car was broken into and I couldn't even drive it for 3 months while still making payments on it (I tried explaining this to the company and they did not care), I had to pay $1500 out of pocket to repair the car and make it driveable, and my insurance told me it wasn't covered, a huge storm hit our house and a tree fell over ripping the fence up and causing damage, I had a skin cancer scare last month, and a breast cancer scare the month before. I feel like I just cannot catch a break.
