As a Canadian/American who came to Ukraine as a volunteer here in Kharkiv, presently a dangerous place, by chance I fell in with this amazing group founded by Borys Redin. The people I work with did not run away like 80% of the Kharkiv population did when the Russians attacked Kharkiv in February. We still get air raid sirens and ocassional shelling, but these brave people carry on delivering goods to frontline soldiers IN THEIR OWN VEHICLES!!  WOW !

"Established upon the beginning of the first Russian invasion in 2014, Euro-Kharkiv, is an experienced, 8 year old, all volunteer non-profit organization based close to the frontline fighting.  Unlike most aid organizations based at a safe distance, we ourselves deliver essential supplies we have gathered or bought DIRECTLY into the hands of our soldiers on the frontline just east of our city, with whom we are in contact on a daily basis receiving requests from them in regards to their real-time needs. Our volunteers go to the active front in their own vehicles to deliver essential supplies as requested directly into the hands of our fighting force. These supplies include medical / first aid, tactical, and personal hygiene supplies; clothing, food and cigarettes; fuel, repair parts and spare parts, and anything else requested that we are able to obtain as donations in kind or as purchased.  We have no paid staff, only unpaid, motivated volunteers numbering about 30 at present. Our warehouse space is donated, but we pay utilities and telephone and internet costs. Thus, we maximize the purchasing power of donations for the single purpose of fulfilling the requests and needs of our courageous defenders."
