In a community like Uganda, women are considered as second class citizens, girls as a source of income, some look after the home, care for the sick and bear children.
In view of the financial constraints, that the family faces, this skill-building program strives to empower adolescent girls and women at large to become self sufficient.
Please support the Blessed Hope Children foundation's vocational school
Blessed Hope Children foundation was founded in 2015 to help vulnerable children both girls and boys and release them from poverty in Jesus' name. Our dream was to have a Christ, holistic centered girl child economically stable, impacted with hands on skills.
Blessed hope vocational school started with 10 girls with 2 sewing machines in 2015. These were trained in tailoring, discipleship through bible studies, family planning. In the past years, the organization has managed to help support and disciple 120 girl’s ages 12-20 years and these have been impacted with vocational or employment skills trainings, which has greatly impacted their lives, These skills together with bible study have changed their lives.
Once girls are empowered with skills they will be able to earn a living and be economically stable. This will also be an added support to the families.
However we can't do this with out the support from friends like you we still need more tailoring machines to use at the school can you please consider donating to us so that we can have more machines and Textile to use, thank you for your generosity heart of helping.
