Sarita recently had an accident and has injured her arm severely, her family cannot afford to pay the hospital fees. She is now in Kathmandu for her operation. Donations will go towards covering all the costs so far.
Removing the bandage.
We found Sarita and her brother Suman bare feet, homeless and starving back in 2016. We washed and cleaned them, bought them slippers, offered them food, a place to stay, and enrolled them in the local primary school. They are a part of our family and can stay in the house instead of sleeping rough on the streets if they wish.
Unfortunately she had a terrible accident recently and we had to bring her to Kathmandu to have an operation. We did not really know how expensive this would be. After already covering the initial costs with our savings for the transport, hospital fees and medication, we still need to raise funds to pay for the operation and rest of the hospital fees.
Currently the funds raised have been through charity dinners or donations on the momo sales. We would be very grateful if you could help us help Sarita get through this. We appreciate your help in a tough time like this and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
"Thank you everyone"
Update: Sarita had her temporary support inside her arm removed last month and despite her arm being bent after, unable to straighten it, she is strong and well. We want to thank you for your generous donations and help. Sarita left Kathmandu to go back to her village Chichila after new years to continue her studies and exams. I am way overdue in posting this update, but I wanted to spend some time with her and get to know her more. Shy at first but very loving once she is comfortable, Sarita has such a strong spirit.
She is a lovely person and is very grateful for your support. I will post more photographs in further updates.
