Elevate Music Foundation

I've taught music in Title I schools for 17 years.  I've seen how music provides students the opportunity to grow - to know themselves and to learn ways of expression that go beyond words.  Unfortunately, not all students have the same access or opportunities to thrive in our current system of music education.

We can and must do the hard work to create a more inclusive and equitable system of music education by training and inspiring teachers, connecting the students to relevant content, and enabling and empowering the next generation of students to become music teachers. 

The money raised by this campaign will fund the incorporation of this new non-profit.  As educators, we need funds to partner with lawyers, accountants and non-profit advisers to set up an organization that will achieve our goals.
