Jumpstart is a National early education organization working toward the day every child in America enter kindergarten prepared to succeed. They provide literacy, and social-emotional programming for preschool children from under-resourced communities and promote quality learning for all children.
They have trained more than 50,000 college students and community volunteers to transform lives of over 123,000 preschool children nation wide.
Jumpstart advocates for accessible, high quality early education. A professional, stable, and well-compensated early education workforce. Affordable higher education that incorporates valuable workforce training opportunities. And a commitment to national service.
I support them because of their transparency of posting their financial statements on their website to show they put the money they generate to work where it’s said it will. They also don’t have the support of many of the major mainstream funds donating to educational based non-profits and more rely on building community partnerships across the country.
In the times we live in, education has never been more important, and making sure future generations receive the support they need because the leaders of tomorrow don’t yet know they are the leaders of tomorrow.
They are HQ’d in Boston near me, and anyone who’s had any personal conversations with me knows how much I believe in community economics, education, and support. It takes a village to raise a child!
