It all started back in 1994 when a series of unfortunate events (mainly caused by myself) brought me to the point of no return without the aid of a supernatural intervention. I began seeking answers everywhere I could find them. Then, I found the Bible. More like, the Bible found me.

It was love at first sight. Every word, every verse, every page, every chapter every book was full of answers to all my questions. There was a new hope, a new love, something far beyond my understanding. Finally, it immediately dawn on me who and where I was. I needed help. I needed a savior, and the Savior came.

As soon as my transformation to a new creature began, I realized there was something I needed to do. Little I knew what that something was, but it became clear that everyone around me needed to know about this Savior. Everyone needs to know about Jesus. My question was: "But how?"

Meanwhile, I just kept reading, and the more I read, the more I understood people would have questions—the very same or more difficult questions I had. So I had to prepare.

I started researching among different Bible translations, books, commentaries, dictionaries, trainings, and workshops. Then, I started wondering: "Some pastors seem to know much, how do they get prepared?"

Today, some good people that I hold to a high esteem suggested that I should go to seminary. I said: "Yes, I want to go. But how? With a full-time job, a wife, two daughters, and a dog? Who has the time or the money?" I went to college and still am paying for student debt after 14 years. I can't put more financial burden to carry on for the rest of my life. Also, I acknowledge there is a calling that must be fulfilled. This is where you come in.

I know that some and very few of you have been entrusted with a higher abundance than I will ever have in my entire life. In addition to that, out of that, some of you have been entrusted with the gift of giving with liberality and generosity (Romans 7: 8).

For this journey, I have chosen Dallas Theological Seminary because of its excellent program in Bible Translations. I would like to focus my research on the accuracy and reliability of the Bible in the Spanish language. Though, the cost of attending DTS is high. The Master's Degree in Theology has a cost of $595 per credit hour and it requires 120 credit hours. That is without the cost of other fees and study materials.

God willing, and with your help and generosity, I will be one step closer to be able to have all the tools I need to continue on my journey of service.
