We adopted Eddy Django from Pawsitively Pom Rescue this October and would love to help them continue their important mission. They saved our little boy and they need YOUR help. It is so important to Mark and Scott!
Eddy Django was adopted from a kill shelter in Florida by a long-haul truck driver. Eddy was only with him for one week when they got stuck in a blizzard in Philadelphia. Eddy jumped out of the cab and broke his front right leg. The driver couldn't afford the time and expense of recovery and surrendered Eddy to Pawsitively Pom Rescue. PPR immediately got Eddy into the best orthopedic surgeon in Pennsylvania. Plates and pins were used by the surgeon to hold the bones together while he reccovered. Spunky and loving Eddy was well on his way to a full recovery when he was adopted out, with the express understanding that within a month, he was to have the pins and plates removed. Unfortunately, that appointment was never kept, and for 2 years Eddy Django never visited a vet. When PPR forced the surrender, they discovered a scared dog in pain. The pins and plates destroyed the bone, eroding it and making it brittle. He wore a cast for a while in hopes the bone would regrow, but when it was removed he almost immediately rebroke his leg. In September of 2019 the decision was made to remove the leg. He came home with us in October and is happy as a clam. He didnt need to be fixed, just loved.
