With the help of two Dominican associates, I am starting a wine distribution enterprise in Puerto Plata. There are a limited number of distributors supplying the market, and after a market survey, we discovered that the actual distributors add-on a very large markup and provide very little service to their small customers.

Our target market is small to medium Restaurants, Bars, Independent Hotels and Grocery stores
· Many restaurants, bars and small markets (colmados) buy their wine from liquor stores at retail price and resell it in their establishments for a small profit.
· We want to provide quality wines and supplies at very competitive price to our target market to increase their profits.
· Offer our customers delivery, an in-house wine marketing system: table sign holders promoting our products, wine & cheese organization, etc.
We will be able to achieve this because we negotiated the complete operation: (wines, international transport, warehousing and delivery to customers) at very competitive prices. Having a very low overhead cost, we will be able to help these smaller businesses make generous profits on our products as well as creating many new jobs for local workers.
