East Bay Dog Service is a dog walking company servicing Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Kensington and Richmond. Our mission is to keep our pack safe. With this standard, we stay away from public hiking trails and dog parks to instead offer leashed group walks. Our clients are very happy knowing their dog is in safe hands with the extra security of the lead.
Although leashed experiences are great, we know how much some dogs in our pack would benefit from off leash play. So we have been working hard towards bringing a unique option for dog exercise. With your help, we can make it happen!

EBDS is crowdfunding donations to open a dog play yard for its furry clients to run freely. The proceeds will go towards erection of fencing to secure the enclosure, leveling and clearing the land and creating soft ground cover to protect dogs feet. Your donation will go directly to these primary installations and any other unforeseen expenses. We hope to raise enough money to also install an agility course for interested parties to use for training.
You may ask: Sounds like a dog park, why not just go there?
Although dog parks and open trails are great options for many dogs, not all dogs do well in this setting. As a walker may be wonderfully handling up to six dogs at a time, outside obstacles can quickly disrupt a pack. Specifically, fights between unknown dogs that can end in a visit to the vet. Poor recall can cause a dog to wander or get lost. High prey drive causes dogs to chase wildlife off the trail to accidentally runaway. Dogs bringing home fleas and ticks is something else clients are looking to further mitigate. Any combination of these risks will be solved by the opening of our professional dog play space.
Without the outside influences of distraction, we can guarantee safety. Ones dog will play within a fully enclosed, manicured area. Free of any other unknown dogs or people while comfortably playing with a bunch of familiar furry friends.
